Why join rcma

The overall benefits accrued to our members are varied and conducive to their businesses. Through RCMA, members enjoy opportunities for networking, improving their processes and business models, furthering their own industry education, and are comforted by the knowledge of an established infrastructure supporting their endeavours.

The RCMA constitution provides for every member’s privileges and rights. Through our constitution, fundamental RCMA procedures are laid out, providing our members with standardised avenues for dialogue and recourse. Furthermore, our constitution provides a framework within which our members can operate without fear of partiality or indiscriminate reprisal. The constitution is reviewed every years.

As part of an established body recognised by the Singapore authorities, RCMA members are entitled to accreditation processes and the support of the entire RCMA body. Besides the entitlements, our members also enjoy various perks which come with being part of a structured community of peers.

Rcma constitution

If you are an individual or corporate entity who engages in the trades of construction and house-decoration, or as material suppliers for such purposes, you are eligible to join RCMA as an ordinary member.

As an ordinary member, the entitlements and benefits are numerous. Some of the more important ones include:

  • The right to vote and/or stand for elections for the committee
  • The right to vote at General Meetings on RCMA affairs

Membership Benefits

  • Expansion of business network
  • Benefit from courses jointly conducted by government bodies and RCMA
  • Members are also invited to take part in skills upgrading courses

As part of one of Singapore’s premier industry bodies, RCMA members can look forward to a host of benefits, both tangible and intangible, which better individuals and their businesses, as well as the industry in general.

One of the most immediate benefits involves the active community in which a new member is immersed in. A new RCMA member is automatically able to network and leverage other members, many of whom have decades of experience in the interior design and construction industry. Exchanges of new ideas, best-practices and industry updates inevitably follow and, the more active a member is, the more he will benefit from the network already established in RCMA’s hallways.

RCMA’s close association with various government bodies also benefits members via preferential placement in courses jointly conducted by statutory boards and RCMA. Regular bulletins are provided to members informing them of upcoming courses, and this also means RCMA members are given greater priority for course registration.

RCMA itself is part of a wider network, and works closely with various other related bodies, such as SFA, SFIC, CASE, HDB, BCA and SCCCI, and other industry players. These liaisons benefit RCMA members via knowledge exchange and updates on developments of related industry sectors. Concurrently, such exchanges of information amongst related industry bodies allow RCMA to provide competent legal and professional consultation services pertaining to the renovation and construction industry.
